This documentary follows Iranian American filmmaker Mohammad Gorjestani through the making of From the Mat, a feature documentary film exploring Iran through the lens of wrestling. Moving between memory, identity, and the filmmaking process, the story looks at wrestling as a bridge between two worlds and filmmaking as a way of finding your way back home. Created with collaborators across Iran and the United States, the project shows how Dropbox made the exchange of footage and ideas possible across distance and borders.
